Building up the social and human capital is the prime concern of XIDAS and accordingly it has been and continues to build up the capabilities of the communities, NGOs, GOs and the Corporates. It has also been making direct field interventions with the view to building up the capabilities of the marginalized people to manage their own resources.
To fulfil this objective, the Institute operates at two levels, the Campus Training Programmes and the Outreach Training Programmes. To achieve its goal, the Department uses various strategies, such as, training programmes for the target groups either within the campus or at the places of the target groups (Mobile trainings).
The Institute imparts training on the issues of Micro Finance, Rural Marketing, Income Generating Programmes, Local Governance, Management of Natural Resources, Women and Child Development, Development of Managerial Skills, Health and Nutrition, People’s Organizations, Watershed Management etc. The Department also conducts survey and research in the fields that are enumerated above.

The Centre of Training and Capacity Building at XIDAS delivers trainings which are aimed at enhancing competencies amongst working professionals, managers and executives working at different levels. Trainings offered cover different areas like finance, marketing, human resource management, rural development, urban governance, right to information, public distribution system, and watershed management etc.
The main objective of these training is to equip the working professionals with the concepts and techniques which are relevant for formulating and implementing strategies to be executed in the organizations and communities.
We would like to apprise you that we have been conducting Management Development Programmes on Management concepts (Conflict Management, Stress Management, Attitude Building etc) and Development concepts (Watershed Management, Right to Information, Rural Governance and PRI etc) topics for last two decades for prestigious organizations like NTPC, Cartias India, WOTR, PGC, Police Department, UNICEF, NIGUM and MPEB etc.
